Arundel United Church

 In 1889, construction began on this Methodist church in the heart of Arundel's village core.

It is characterized by a large tower, built between 1938 and 1940 and very typical of Protestant churches, and by pointed-arch doors and windows, typical of the neo-gothic style that was popular in Quebec religious architecture at the time.

This place of worship, one of the oldest in Les Laurentides RCM, is part of the ”Once Upon a Time in the Western Laurentians” Heritage Tour, available on BaladoDiscovery. The tour showcases the history of municipalities like Arundel, Amherst, Brébeuf and Huberdeau, home to the late Frédéric Back, a socially engaged artist and humanist, and the late Serge Bouchard, an anthropologist, author and media personality.
