Built between 1926 and 1928 in a barely developed area, this church is in a very simple vernacular Gothic style. In 1952, it was remodeled to give it its current appearance. On its front and rear facades, the windows feature pointed arches, while those on the sides and on the bell tower feature Tudor arches. Each window is decorated with various types of mullions and transoms, and the bell tower pointed roof is topped with battlements.
Historical Significance
This Anglican church served as a social gathering place and a business centre for the English-speaking community of Rouyn-Noranda. Over the years, it has welcomed worshippers of various faiths, even from its earliest days when some congregations did not yet have their own place of worship. Now occupied by the Christian congregation, it still remains open.
