Because of its impressive viewpoints, an alternate route now leads to Chartierville. Perched at an altitude of 505 m, Chartierville is one of the most elevated villages in the province of Quebec.

Visit this charming village well-known for its optical phenomenon of magnetic hill. Interpretation Centre on site. 

Even before its founding in 1870, gold-seekers flocked in the area. Discover the gold mine interpretation centre and relive the the 1862-to-1960 period. Also try the nice hiking trail.
