This little log cabin has sheltered many residents since it was built in 1936/1937. Colin ‘Chippy’ Louititt, a local woodcutter and prospector, cut and peeled the logs for his cabin on the banks of the Yellowknife River.
Other notable residents of the cabin included welder Joe Major, prospectors William Rossing and Rocky Dubois, Susie King, and Joe Powder.
Today, the cabin stands the test of time. It is no longer a residence and has been used as a storage shed for the past several years.
