La vie est belle à Sainte-Adèle

La vie est belle à Sainte-Adèle de Rock Therrien

Rock Therrien is a self-taught painter. Born in Armargh, a pretty little village in Bellechasse township south of Quebec City, he grew up in the United States. Today, Mr. Therrien lives and paints in Morin-Heights. In addition to drawing inspiration from his surroundings, his travels and music, Mr. Therrien’s daily life at the heart of the Laurentians is a major source of creativity for his art.

LA VIE EST BELLE À SAINTE-ADÈLE - 2016

For many years, Sainte-Adèle’s Lac Rond was host to a one-of-a-kind fishing tournament. At the time, the lake was stocked with over 2,000 trout each year, making it an ideal fishing spot for anglers of all ages and levels. Given that several of the trout were marked with a corresponding monetary value, it is easy to imagine the frenzy out on the lake! Over 400 anglers came to fish, making the tournament a wonderful family fishing event. The tournament’s original name was The Fishes Tournament, however upon the passing of its founder, a distinguished businessman and great ambassador for his village, the name was changed to The Maurice Aveline Fishing Tournament. The main objective for this tournament was to attract tourists to Sainte-Adèle, a mission which is shared today by these magnificent Laurentian murals.
