Agricultural Fair at Saint-Sylvestre

The Société d'agriculture du comté de Lotbinière was founded on May 3, 1853. It held a one-day exhibition at Parkhurst, devoted exclusively to the judgement of animals. A few years later, a second day of exhibition was added in Saint-Flavien, a day that was no longer enough.

The photo was taken in 1943 during the agricultural exhibition at Parkhurst (Saint-Patrice-de-Beaurivage parish).

Irish Catholic Cemetery

This Anglican Cemetery was declared a Historic Monument on February 27, 1962. It is located on Craig Road.

On the front left is the memorial to William Thomas Neill and Eliza Jame Bain, made of granite. To the right of it is their original white stone funerary monument.

You will also see the O'Neil family website, which included Mr. Patrick Big O'Neil, Robert Corrigan’s rival.

The King Road runs through the valleys in the background.

The King Family

This photo is a good illustration of how this cemetery was once maintained. It also shows that the King family occupies a very large location.
